A simple guide to taking better dental photos for quote requests, including smile, bite, open-mouth, and problem-area photos.
Photos help the conversation start earlier
Photos cannot diagnose everything, but they help a dentist see visible concerns before you travel. Good photos can show missing teeth, broken teeth, crowding, stains, gum swelling, bite wear, old dentures, or cosmetic concerns.
The most helpful photo set
Send a natural smile photo, close-up front teeth photo, open-mouth photo, right and left side bite photos if possible, and a close problem-area photo. If you have X-rays, include those too.
What photos cannot show
Photos cannot fully show bone, infection, root shape, bite force, gum pocketing, or whether an implant is safe. Those details may require X-rays or 3D imaging.
Use the photo guide and then submit the secure quote form.

Can this article replace a dental diagnosis?
